I Donna and my Husband Barrie Heap purchased the well established Brookside Cattery Ltd in 1998; I trained with the previous owner before taking over the cattery. During the first few years improvements were made by refurbishing the cattery, in 2003 seven large pens were fully refurbished and are now tiled floor to ceiling with additional sneeze barriers and stainless steel mesh to doors all in order to reduce the risk of infection.
The building benefits from the thermostatically controlled gas warm air central heating, with double glazing to most areas. The lay out avoids cats seeing eye to eye to reduce any stress or anxiety; most pens have a window view across the garden. The building is "L" shaped and has 4 airlock doors with mesh on the inner wall allowing excellent ventilation with security for your pets in the summer.

Here at Preston Cattery We are cat lovers and in fact have 2 of our own cats called Max and Smudge, Max will often be seen in or around the cattery. The cattery is fully licensed to hold up to 50 cats; we also accept small pets such as rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and gerbils.
Please come and visit before you bring your pet!
